Painted portrait of pointer dog by the Danish artist Vilhelm Th. Fischer (1857-1928). He has especially painted and drawn animals from the Danish nature. Furthermore, the creator of several major works of Birds in porcelain for Royal Copenhagen. Here the artist has used oil paint on a terracotta plate from the ceramics factory Peter Ipsen, Copenhagen, for his portrait. The motif is signed by the artist as well as the production year 1913.
