Bio:
Scandinavian studio ceramics of the 1930s and 1940s were characterised by a move towards more architectural and disciplined forms, often influenced by Art Deco and early functionalism. Potters favoured restrained colour palettes and strong formal clarity, with surface texture and proportion playing a key role.
